The Ellsworth Band left for Nashville, Tennessee on May 28, 2013 aboard a charter bus and returned home June 1, 2013 after a fun packed five day trip. Band director, James Jarvie, twenty-three students and five chaperones made the trip to Nashville.

While in Nashville they visited the Hermitage, (home of Andrew Jackson), Ryman Auditorium, former home of the Grand Ole Opry; The Country Music Hall of Fame; and rehearsed at a master class at Vanderbilt University under the direction of Dr. Dwayne Sagen.

The group also visited Bell Meade Plantation, Nashville Shores Water Park, and enjoyed a performance featuring Jazz guitarist John Richards.

The final day included a visit to the Tennessee State Museum, Opryland Hotel and a backstage tour of the Grand Ole Opry, before perfoming in the Opry Plaza. The Grand Ole Opry Show capped off the trip, with performances by Jeanne Robertson, Amy Grant, Exile, Ricky Skaggs, Vince Gill and more.
