Earl Erdman enjoyed having some of his family visit him at the Minnesota Veterans Home.  His wife, Joyce and their grandson, Matthew Meyer of Sioux Falls were callers last Saturday.  Last Sunday visitors included Joyce and their son, Mike of Lismore, granddaughter, Alyssa Meyer of St. Cloud,  and her friend, Austin Wolf of Adrian.

Todd & Joan (Weidert) Miller of Balaton recently enjoyed a relaxing winter get-away in Hawaii,  knowing their three daughters were in capable hands.  Melissa Weidert and her fiance', Mike Einck, were responsible for entertaining and "parenting" the Miller girls, Casey, Kelli, & Katherine.  Who had more fun, Melissa & Mike or the girls?!

Many family members from southwest Minnesota attended the funeral for Fred Reker at St. Cloud, MN on January 3, 2013. Fred was born in Lismore and attended St. Anthony School. He was a deacon in his church and well known throughout the state. The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated by Bishop Kenny. There were many priests in attendance along with close to 450 people. Blessed be the memory of Fred Reker. Ray & Bette LeBrun visited their new great granddaughter last Thursday at the hospital in Marshall. Little Ellie Jo was born on Jan. 29th to her parents, Lance & Emily Dorschner and weighed 8 lbs and 2 ounces.  She will be welcomed home by big brother Wyatt.

Time is winding down for collecting baby items for the Helping Hands Pregnancy Center in Worthington.  The play ‘n pack is located in the back of St. Anthony’s church. The Catholic Daughters will be taking the donations to the center on Monday, February 11th.   Everyone is invited to participate!

Dave, Deb & Cody Lutmer spent the weekend at the home of Bruce & Ruth Lutmer in Brooklyn Park.

Brenda (Mrs. Bruce) Loosbrock spent a few days at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls this past week.   She was released on Sunday following extensive testing.  Godspeed, Brenda.

Not long ago, a Nobles County Review insert spotlighted Jerry Kellen and his extensive train collection.  This past week, Jerry and Mary graced the cover of Active Life, a Worthington Daily Globe special feature. A wonderful story detailed the birth of Jerry's hobby and how it has grown to its spectacular layout today.  Many photos, both colored and black & white give glimpses of what Jerry has created over the years, including a replica of the town of Lismore!  This hobby has grown and flourished, with most of it being built from scratch.  Each tiny detail is lovingly taken care of, right down to the little people, dogs, and even the grass!! Call Jerry and Mary (472-8436) for a tour.  They could be putting Lismore on the map as a tourist destination!!

Saturday overnight guests in the home of  their parents, Ray & Betti LeBrun, were Steve & Cheri LeBrun of Lafayette.   Sunday visitors were Jim & Anne LeBrun and Marty, Josie and Emily LeBrun, all of Adrian and Bill & Patty LeBrun and Lauren, Miranda and Morgan of Reading.
