Bruce & Brenda Loosbrock visited Benedictine College in Atchinson, Kansas in December.  They had the opportunity to watch their son, Stephen, compete as a “Raven” .  Stephan wrestles at 174 lbs for the Ravens and won all three of his matches that day. Stephan was a 2010 "Dragon" state champion during his senior year at Adrian High School.

Gary Lutmer visited with his mother, Darleen Lutmer on Sunday morning at the Adrian Country Cottages.  He later spent time with Dave, Deb & Cody Lutmer before returning to his home in Ormsby, MN.

Collin Kemper was selected as the January HS Student of the Month.  Collin is a sophomore at Adrian High School and the son of Chris & Mindy Kemper of Lismore.  Collin's teachers say he is "a kid you can't help but like".   He is involved in cross country, basketball, and golf.

He was also inducted into the National Honor Society this year.  Collin is a student that can be counted on-- in the classroom and in activities.  The students of the month are chosen for their outstanding behavior and positive attitude.   Congratulations Collin!

There will be no American Legion Auxiliary meeting during the month of January.

Doug & Laura Loosbrock spent the weekend in Mound, MN in the home of John & Louise Loosbrock.  The Loosbrock Brothers (Kelly, Brad, John, and Doug) were all present to help celebrate the 50th birthdays of another brother, Eric, and his wife, Brenda Loosbrock in Chaska.

Last Monday night representatives from the United State Post Office were on hand to review the survey results and answer questions about the POST Plan realignment.  After reviewing the surveys that were returned, and taking into account Postal Service operational needs, the retail hours for the Lismore location will likely be:  Mon-Fri 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and on Saturdays 8:30 a.m. to 9:45 a.m.  A final decision will be made and residents will be notified at that time.
