John was preceded in death by his wife Gladys in 2010.

Survived by daughter and granddaughter, Paula and Sarah Haggerty of Glen Ellyn, IL, son, Christopher of Apple Valley, and sister Joann (Alvin) Wirtjes of Elmore.

Memorial Mass will be held Wednesday, January 23rd, 11 am, at Mary, Mother of the Church, 3333 E. Cliff Road, Burnsville, MN. Visitation one hour prior. Interment at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.

Memorials preferred to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Smile Train. John’s kindness, laughter and friendship will be greatly missed.
