Shannon Spieker (Mrs. Dusty) was home visiting her parents, Elaine & Steve Ashby of rural Adrian. Besides the St. Adrian Fall Dinner, she also enjoyed a scrapbooking event with her mom, at Mall of America on the weekend. When asked how living in California was going, Shannon smiled and said it was great. For fun, she and Dusty went to a taping of "The Price is Right". Seated near the front, Dusty wore his Air Force uniform and had quite an extensive visit with host, Drew Carey. Shannon said the show will be broadcast on September 28th. Tune in and see if you can spot them!! Dusty is the son of Bill & Jill Spieker and the late Diana Spieker of rural Kenneth.

As if growing up in a large family wasn't enough, three of Darleen Lutmer's kids decided they needed some excitement a couple of weeks ago. Gary (of St. James), Linda (of Mitchell, SD), and Lori (of Annandale, MN) met in Winsted on September 9th to skydive!! Gary had his 55th birthday in August, and he must have wanted to cross skydiving off his "bucket list". He managed to convince his wife, Roxy and youngest sister Lori into accompanying him and she in turn got her sister Linda to join the fun. After watching a video, reading the contract and signing all the paperwork, they finally made the tandem jump along with fourteen others. Can you imagine jumping out of a plane at 13.000 feet and free falling for 60 seconds at 125 mph before your chute opens? What's on YOUR bucket list?
