Coach Strand Coaches All Stars

Those who have been coached by Randy Strand, his fellow coaches and Dragon fans have long known that Coach Strand is an All Star.   It came as no surprise to any of those that know him that he was selected to coach in this years All Star Football Game, the first held in the new U.S. Bank Stadium.

Being selected by the Minnesota Football Coaches Association to coach in the 44th annual Minnesota High School All Star Football Game, Coach Randy Strand of the Adrian Dragons returned home with a South All-Star 15-7 win. This year the game was held in the U.S. Bank Stadium, the new home of the Minnesota Vikings.

Strand, assisting Mike Grant (Eden Prairie),  Marc Achterkirch (Owatonna), Don Henderson (Triton), Terry Bahlman (Marshall), Larry Thompson (Lakeville South), Gary Solan (Grand Meadow), and Carl Lemke (St. Croix Lutheran), was assigned to coach up the defensive backfield. Reporting to camp on the 30th of November the teams practiced for three days before facing off on Saturday afternoon of December 3rd.
