Boy Scouts Thank Law Enforcement

wilkeningrahesDuring these difficult times in Dallas, around the United States and our home state of Minnesota, Law Enforcement everywhere is looking for support from their local communities. With that said, there is wonderful support in our own community.

On Monday, the doorbell rang, and Officer Richard Bruns who is also the Adrian Cub Scout Leader, saw some familiar faces at his door, the Rahe family. Andy who recently earned his arrow of light award, Joe, who just advanced to Bear Scout,  brothers Nathan and Jack, and their mother, Jennifer.  They had come to his home to give him a gift bag full of goodies in appreciation for  his work in Law Enforcement.  On the bag it said:

APPRECIATION KIT FOR OUR LAW ENFORCEMENT

LIFESAVERS – for all the lives you’ve saved!
STARBURST- to give you bursts of strength!
TOOTSIE ROLLS- to help you roll with the punches!
GUM- to help your unit stick together!
MOUNDS- to show you how much we care!
SNICKERS- to help you keep a sense of humor!
MILKY WAY- to remind you to look up at Jesus!
WE SUPPORT YOU!!! THANK YOU!!!

This was a very welcomed gesture for Officer Bruns since during this past weekend he mourned the anniversary of a close friend and a fellow classmate of his, and was also reminded of his other classmates that have died in the line of duty. So he would like to say to the Rahe family on behalf of the Law Enforcement community and their families around the world, THANK YOU!!  Your kind gesture gives us strength and courage.

Thank you,
Officer Richard Bruns,
Adrian Police Department
