LUVERNE – The Blue Mound Figure Skaters hosted the Ice Crystal Classic 2020 on January 18-20 at the Blue Mound Ice Arena in Luverne. This is the group’s largest competition to date with 105 skaters attending from nine different rinks and 19 different coaches. Blue Mound Skaters had over 40 girls participate in the Classic, seven who are from the Adrian schools system. “The mission of the Blue Mound Figure Skaters is to encourage the instruction of the skaters in the tri-state area in all types and levels of figure skating and to cultivate a spirit of fraternal feeling among ice skaters in disciplines of ice skating.” Skaters continue working on ice skills and preparing for their number in the club’s annual Ice Show held mid March. The Ice Crystal Classic 2020 is in the books.
