Mark your calendar for a benefit to help support Miriam Cunningham of Round Lake. “Miriam’s battle is OUR battle, Supporting her until she wins” is the theme for the benefit.
A committee has been meeting to plan for the event, which is set for Saturday, September 29. A pulled pork sandwich supper, including beans, chips and dessert will be served.
In April, Miriam was diagnosed with Stage IV Endometrial Cancer, and she began chemotherapy on May 1. She continues to battle cancer while still serving her community and friends by providing day care services.
In addition to the meal, which will be a free will donation, raffle tickets will be available. Donated items are rolling in for the bucket raffle. Already donated are several gift baskets, a night at the AmericInn, benches,quilt and jewelry. Additional items are welcome and appreciated.

Miriam has helped to raise over 120 children in her life, with her day care services. In addition, she gives back with her volunteer work and involvement with 4-H. Miriam also creates wonderful cakes for many.
Residents of Round Lake, Miriam and her husband Paul have raised three children of their own, Thomas, Sarah and Benjamin.
