A time of fellowship for April Rose Lavoie, age 26, of Adrian, MN formerly of Iona, MN will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Adrian, MN. A private family burial of cremains will be at a later date. She died Sunday, October 21, 2018, at her home. April was born December 18, 1991, in Worthington, MN to Gary and Leisha (Lavoie) Elgin. She attended school in Slayton, MN before graduating from Fulda High School.
After graduating, April worked at Page One Printing in Slayton. She then worked as a waitress at The Hub in Slayton. In 2013, she moved to Adrian where she began working at the Arnold Memorial Nursing Home as a Certified Nurses Aid.
She enjoyed coloring and drawing, scrapbooking, watching movies, cooking and swimming in the pond.
April is survived by her mother, Leisha Lavoie, Worthington, MN; fiancé, Daniel Albertson, Adrian, MN; foster parents, Jessie and Espe Lavoie, Iona, MN; foster siblings, Jennefer Lavoie, Worthington, MN; Jessica Lavoie, Sioux Falls, SD; and Miguel Lavoie; two uncles, Mike (Jean) Lavoie and Bart Lavoie; aunt, Lazzet (Rick) Finley; and her grandmother, Sharon McDonald, Iona, MN.
She was preceded in death by her two grandfathers, Robert Lavoie and Clarence Wittrock.
