Alexia Klemper, who is the daughter of Chris and Mindy Kemper of Lismore, MN has been selected as the winner of the girls Region 3A, Sub-Region 10, Academics, Arts, and Athletics Award. The Triple ‘A’ Award was established in 1988, and is sponsored by the Minnesota State High School League. “Alexia is a great choice for this award because she exemplifies all of the things that make a great student,” stated Cate Koehne, AMS/AHS principal.
The list of Alexia’s accomplishments makes one wonder how she can do it all. She has been involved in variety of different activities including Volleyball, Basketball, Golf, Band, Choir and Speech. She has been selected as the captain of volleyball, basketball and golf teams, and was a state participant in golf as a Sophomore. Alexia has been selected to the Academic All State Teams twice in both volleyball and golf. Last year she was selected to the All State Coaches’ Golf Team. Alexia finished second in Extemporaneous Reading at the Section 3A Speech contest and finished in the top ten at the state level in 2017. She received a “Superior” rating at the section solo and ensemble choir contest also in 2017. Her skills in the arts appear on stage, as she plays leading roles in the fall plays at AHS. Alexia has been able to succeed in multiple arts, athletics, and academics throughout her high school career. Besides being captain of athletic teams, Alexia has shown great civic-mindedness with the National Honor Society and leadership as a student council president. Alexia has been an exceptional role model leading by example. Alexia’s future plan is to attend college and to get a degree in Business Administration and Management.
Jay Wang, AHS athletic director, presented Alexia with a plaque, a medal and a certificate for being the girls Region 3A, Sub- Region 10 winner. Congratulations to Alexia Kemper, girl’s Sub Region 10 Triple ‘A’ winner!
