Burial will be in the Emmanuel Presbyterian Cemetery. Alan returned to God’s loving arms on Monday, September 3, 2018, at the Sanford Worthington Medical Center in Worthington, MN. He was born March 17, 1952, in Colorado Springs, CO, to Elgin and Lavonne (Strenge) Larson. Alan attended school in Bigelow, MN and graduated from Worthington High School. He then attended Worthington Junior College.

Alan married Gayle Vis on May 12, 1972, in Sibley, IA. The couple farmed in the Rushmore, MN and Worthington, MN areas. He attended Emmanuel Presbyterian Church south of Rushmore. Alan was so proud of his children and grandchildren and loved them so much. He often said no one will ever love them as much as he would.

Alan thrived on hard work, farming his entire life, but also took time for relaxing at the cabin and fishing. He also enjoyed restoring old cars and tractors.

Alan’s lifelong dream and goal was to become a pilot. He got his private pilot’s license, and then he achieved his ultimate goal of getting his helicopter license, and owning his own helicopter.

He often said he could die a happy man because he had achieved all he ever hoped for, including having his family beside him in his journey.

God has blessed us with wonderful memories as we carry a piece of him in our hearts forever. His last day on earth, is the birthday of his first day of his eternal life in Heaven.

“Love the ones God gave you, because some day

He will want them back.”,  Alan Larson.
