A couple of weeks ago, the AHS Honor Society Advisor, Joyce McCarthy, contacted me at the Library and said that the student officers of that organization wanted to meet with me. We set a time to get together, and on Tuesday, May 24, I sat down with students Taylor Heidebrink, Jackie Hokeness, Mitchel Lonneman and Nate Lonneman. They wanted to ask me how the students of the Adrian High School and Middle School could help with the Library repairs/renovation and fundraising efforts.
The first thing they asked me is if we needed help with moving books and other things, when the library needs to be cleared for the repairs and renovation. I assured them that boxing up and moving the books was definitely going to be needed – including those books that would be going on a summer book sale.
