Adrian High School students and staff gathered in the school gym for the Snow Week Coronation assembly on Monday. Either seniors were introduced as royalty in honor of their leadership in the classroom, school activities, and in the community. The Snow Week candidates are chosen by the AHS teachers each year. Mrs. Pam Sells, FACS teacher, spoke on behalf of the teachers, reminding the students of the various character traits that are demonstrated by students selected for this honor. Mrs. Sells and Mr. Jay Wange, math teacher, then crowned the King and Queen. Taylor Heidebrink was selected as the 2017 AHS Snow Week Queen. Taylor is the daughter of Scott and Dana Heidebrink. She has participated in band, choir, Partners in Prevention, National Honor Society, volleyball, basketball, and softball stats during her years at AHS. Mitchell Lonneman was crowned the 2017 AHS Snow Week King. Mitchell is the son of Ron and Leah Lonneman. Mitchell has been active in basketball, football, National Honor Society, Letterman’s Club, fall play, one-act play, Partners in Prevention, band, knowledge bowl, math league, Spanish club, and choir while at AHS. Snow Week will wrap up on Friday with the annual AHS Dodge Ball tournament in the afternoon. The semi-formal dance will take place after the boys basketball game on Friday night. |
