Special teams led by Rogers TD

The Adrian Dragons made the long journey to New Ulm last Friday afternoon to take on the perennial power New Ulm Cathedral Greyhounds in Class A Football action.  The Dragons jumped out early to a 16 to 0 lead, keyed by their punt return team, then the Adrian running game took it over from there to post the final of 36 to 7.

Adrian won the toss and chose to kickoff to the Greyhounds in this one.  Adrian’s defense held the Greyhounds to 3 plays and out in their 1st possession and forced them to punt. On the punt, New Ulm’s punter fielded the rolling snap with his knee down, and the Dragons got a huge break right away, taking over on the Greyhound 12 yard line.

The Dragons used two plays to score the touchdown with Frank Serrao going 10 yards on play number one and Dylan Gyberg capping off the TD with a 2 yard blast.  On the PAT, Adrian had Frank Serrao run the ball in and just like that Adrian led 8 to 0.
