Our deep sympathy to the family and many friends of Gert Berning of Adrian. Gert’s funeral was held August 31st at the 10:30 Mass in St. Adrian Catholic Catholic Church. Gert was known for her love and caring personality. She was always willing to help family and friends. Mass was officiated by Gert’s nephewJames Berning, assisted by Father Andrew Beerman. The flower arrangements, (many designed by Jodi Berning), were so beautiful and meaningful. Gert is survived by husband Al. They were married for 68 years and the parents of Linda, Steve, Randy and Brad. Gert never recovered from the death of her daughter Laurie in 2011. Gert has 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren! Blessed be the memory of Gert Berning, one of God’s chosen servants.

Some of the relatives of the late Jon Ross whose funeral was held in Hutchinson, MN on Wednesday, August 31st were Tom and Marge (Watry) Davis of Chaska; Jean Watry of St. Paul; Dan Watry, Adrian; Mark Cox, Edina; Ann (Cox) Hoemberg, Andover; Mary (Cox) Taylor, Minneapolis; Al and Cindy Cox, Adrian. Jon was the husband of Pat (Klein) Ross formerly of Adrian. Jon has two children, Tim and wife Kathleen and Kristen and husband Dan and one grandchild, Henry. Jon’s death was sudden and unexpected. Blessed is the memory of Jon Ross.
