A large crowd gathered at the Lismore Legion Center on Saturday morning, October 8th to attend a bridal shower for Sam Lynn, daughter of Jeff and Denise of Lismore. The tables were decorated with darling little wooden baskets that contained a mason or bell jar filled with various leaves and a flower. The baskets were made by Sam herself and will also be used in December for her wedding. Sam received so many beautiful and useful gifts. The guests were treated to sandwiches and a huge array of salads and many bars of every kind. The bride is engaged to Adam Voss, son of Roxie and Gene Voss. Sam is a math teacher and also a coach in Fulda, MN. Adam works at Papik Motors in Luverne. Best wishes to a very happy couple. Their red and green Christmas wedding will be beautiful.
Hope all my readers saw the Viking – Texas football game on Sunday. So far the Vikings have not lost a game.
Congratulations to the Adrian Dragons for winning their football game on Friday.
What a great article Review writer Kristine Kern had in the 10-5-16 issue, about Adrian Elementary students volunteering with “Kids Against Hunger”. Teaching at this level is so very important and our elementary school deserves lots of praise.
This writer will not mention the debates. It will be good to vote in November and hopefully the two vice presidents will have a chance to contribute their wise experience.
Please pray for little 3 ½ month old Owen Cox, son of John and Sadie. He had brain surgery last week.

We are all asked to donate to our flood victims in many southern counties. Some families have lost everything. May God open our hearts and billfolds.
