Word was received in Adrian of the death of Bethany Wilberding, age 21, of Marcus, Iowa.  Bethany was a twin daughter of Jeanne (Oertli) and Paul Wilberding. She was handicapped and lived in a residential home with her twin sister, Abby, who is also handicapped.  Mom, Jeanne is a daughter of the late Chris and Ben Oertli.  Funeral services were held Monday.  Our deep sympathy to the Wilberding family.

November 13th is the annual soup and dessert luncheon of the First Presbyterian Church in Lismore.  The event starts at 11:00 a.m. in the Legion Club of Lismore. Always a fun time.

Heard that the many round bales at the R & R Cattle Ranch is a sight to behold!  Each bale is stacked one at a time and there are about 18,000!

The writer read a great article in the 10-29-16 edition of the Argus Leader.  The author Pastor Lindgren, tells us to take time for a moment alone with God!  How can we do that?  Just sit for a minute or two and ask God to help you pray.  We can all find many minutes in the day to thank God for his many blessings and that is spending a few minutes with our Lord!

Good to read about Tommy McCarthy, son of Joyce and Brian, who is playing the role of “The Baker” in the Northwestern St. Paul production of “Into the Woods.”  Many will remember Tommy playing the role of “Donkey” in the musical “Shrek” at Memorial Auditorium!

Congratulations to Willy Nath on his lone career as a mail carrier at Rushmore.  Willy is retiring after 31 years at the same route.  A good man!

This writer, K.C. had another great meal of fresh perch from neighbor Lorraine! Thanks!

The beautiful fall picture, by Lisa Kruger, in last week’s Review took my breath away!  Lisa took that picture from the deck of the golf course looking west to the water tower!  Fabulous.

Don’t forget to vote.  Too many people died, so we could have that privilege.

Little Braxton Pittman, son of Whitney (Cox) and Michael Pittman came to “Trick & Treating” Sunday evening.  Braxton was dressed in a costume made by his Mankato Grandmother Connie.  He was a character from the “Wizard of OZ”!  He visited great great grandmother Alice Hokeness at Assisted Living and Kay Cox and had supper at grandparents Al and Cindy Cox.  He also went to the farm to see cousins Marshall and Mason Cox.  A very happy little boy who never cries!

Congratulations to Maria (Hieronimus) Thier who wrote a great letter to the Globe about the school referendum.  Maria is a mother and business owner in Worthington.

Trick or Treaters, who came calling on Tennessee and Pennsylvania Avenues were all so polite, with please and thank you.  It was a fun evening, thanks parents!!
