The Two-Buck meal, held at the Senior Dining on May 18th was a big success!  Ruth and Clarence Bauer were the providers and 36 happy hungry guests were so pleased with the hot turkey noon lunch.  The chatter and laughter was so good to hear.  Now everyone knows that most of the guests can afford $4.00 for the good meals.  Thanks Ruth and Clarence. If you would like to be a provider, just call Mary Lund at 483-2588. New grandparents Alan and Cindy Cox received a round of applause at the meal site.  Their daughter Whitney gave birth May 16th to a beautiful baby boy.  They named him Braxton Charles Pittman.  Whitney, Michael and baby are all doing well.

Graduation was Friday, May 20th and lots of open houses followed for the graduation of their guests.

So good to run into Celine Klein’s granddaughter Jodi Harnack who is employed by the Ophthalmology Clinic in Sioux Falls.  Celine had a beautiful Memorial Service in Adrian on May 10th.

Catholic Daughters Court #247 honored their 50 year members on May 19th at 1:30 p.m. in the Education Building.  The 50 year members were recognized and received a beautiful flower before the luncheon.  Regent Pam Konz conducted the meeting and Barb Reker and Kathy Henning provided the lunch.

Madisyn Dingmann was guest of honor at an open house graduation party at her home, following graduation exercises at the High School on May 20th.  Madisyn, in a beautiful white dress, greeted her many guests, standing in front of a beautiful quilt she had made. There were dozens of pictures and items lining one long wall in the garage.  A tent was set up outside the garage. Food was most delicious.  Madisyn was a state winner with the Luverne Hockey Team.  What an honor.  Madisyn is a member of the National Honor Society.  Congratulations Madisyn.

Mackenzie Wagner was guest of honor at the family’s farm home on Sunday.  A large tent was used beside the big decorated garage.  Mackenzie was involved in 4-H and FFA.  The tables had plaid tablecloths and the donut maker and root beer floats were a real treat.  It was a day like the State Fair.  It was so good to see and visit with Great Grandfather Andy Wagner. Andy was sitting at a table under a tree with beautiful cattle roaming on green covered hills.  A great picture for many town friends who came to recognize Mackenzie and her many talents.  Family members and friends were dressed in western style.  Congratulations Mackenzie and may your life be beautiful.

Another great graduation party was held at the very cool VFW Club in Wilmont for Matt Slater.  The temperature outside was about 78 degrees!  The citizens of Wilmont have made any great improvements in their VFW Club.  Matt and his folks greeted every guest and the south wall was covered with beautiful framed pictures of Matt and his many activities. The food was plentiful and so delicious.  Grandparents Jack and Lavonne Slater made the rounds and greeted many guests.  Many thanks to LuAnn Reisdorfer who drove and helped me Sunday afternoon.  We both enjoyed every minute.  Congratulations Matt Slater.

A new neighbor on Tennessee Avenue is Pat Honken.  Pat is the daughter of the late John and Ole Roemeling.  Welcome to Adrian Pat.

I can hardly wait to attend the graduation party for the Kern triplets.  I have attended a baptism for triplets but never graduation.

May God bless and guide all our new graduates as they leave Adrian high for college, tech schools or join the work force or military.
