Adrian News 9-26-18

Again more rain!  A half an inch or so would have been sufficient, but we take what we get.  The farmers were getting started with their fall chores, but things are on a hold pattern for now.  Please watch out for slow moving farm vehicles!

AHS had a great week of sports.  The football team logged it’s first win against Sleepy eye, the Volleyball Team picks another win and the cross country teams did well in both Windom and Milaca.  At the half way mark for most of the fall sports the Dragons are looking impressive!

With October around the corner, the Adrian Senior Dining will once again be holding their September birthday party this coming Friday, September 28th. On the schedule for Monday, Oct. 1 is Bingo.  Please call the day ahead for reservations.

Our deepest sympathies to the Bullerman family for the loss of their sister and neice Kristy Aldrich, who passed away on September 20th.  God bless the memory of Kristy Aldrich.

Prayers and continued healing to Denny Kruger following his by-pass surgery last week.

Among the many friends and relatives who gathered at East Friesland Church in Rushmore, for a final goodbye to Jake Werkman,  was Nan Hoffenkamp a former classmate. Nan much appreciated Cindy Bullerman driving her out to six mile cemetery.

On Oct. 6 a Special Olympics Benefit and Auction, will be held at the Luverne Elementary School commons from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Be sure to attend and support the programs for our local athletes.

On Oct. 4, OLGC holds their fall church dinner.  Be sure to attend!

Next week the homecoming festivities begin.

Thought for the week: When someone compliments you, graciously receive it.  Take each compliment you receive as a rose and at the end of the day, take the entire bouquet and offer it to God…knowing that it came from Him to begin with.
