The family of Catherine “Granny” Bullerman Bauer pulled off a surprise 85th birthday party for Catherine. The birthday girl was TOTALLY surprised!! Granddaughters Brittany and Tracy, along with daughter-in-law Deb, planned the awesome party. They told stories and made many new memories! There were endless surprises and so much laughter! Cindy Bullerman, another daughter-in-law, composed the following poem for Catherine:

Catherine was so delighted with her surprise party, and she wants to say “I love you all”.
Kay Cox accompanied Al and Cindy Cox, Whitney (Cox) Pittman and son, Braxton, to Andover, MN on Saturday, July 29, for a baby shower for Katie Jo and Jimmy Stone. Katie and Jimmy live in Kansas City, MO, where Katie is earning her Doctorate Degree. The shower was lots of fun with family, neighbors and dear friends! The couple received lots of lovely gifts for the baby who is due in September. The guests enjoyed great food and lots of laughter!! There were four Cox ‘kids’ present and the cousins had such a good time. We all stayed at Ann’s home in Andover. She has down-sized, but still was able to hold all 12 of us! It was good to meet Jimmy’s grand parents and
many of Ann’s friends from Blaine, MN. The Adrian family returned home on Sunday. All in all, it was a great two days.
Tim and Judy Honermann drove their golf cart up Tennessee Ave., and gave away fresh English cucumbers from their garden. The pail full they were doling out was only Sunday’s ‘pickings’. What good neighbors. Thanks Tim and Judy!
I had my first White Castle, 100% beef hamburger in 1948. The price was 5 burgers for $1.00! They still make White Castle burgers, now called “sliders”, and they sell for $1 each. In memory of Ann (Cox) Homeberg’s late husband Don, Ann ordered a big tray of the sliders. Yes, they all disappeared! A fun little memory.
Fifteen minutes out of a 24 hour day is not a very long time, but if we all prayed for rain during that 15 minutes, God would be so pleased!
