Adrian News 3-8-17

It was heartwarming to read about good neighbor Sy Lonneman receiving the Bronze Star Medal after serving in the Korean War 64 years ago.  Sy and his wife, Helen farmed south of Adrian, after returning from the service, and raised a great family.  Sy served his country, his church of St. Adrian and the community of Adrian.   Congratulations to Sy Lonneman on this great honor.

I would like to publicly thank the Sanford/Adrian Clinic for the great service they provide to this wide area.   I caught the “cough” flu about two weeks ago and suffered for eight days before being persuaded to make an appointment with Brenda Bullerman.  Brenda and her “crew” took over, and a full examination proved that I was indeed a very sick individual.  The coughing was night and day and my ribs are so sore that I feel like Joe Lewis in the boxing ring!  Lab tech Deb Luettel was so very professional and so very kind and considerate as well as student Katie Slater who is “learning the ropes” from Brenda.  With medication I am getting better, but still am recuperating at  home.  Thank you Brenda Bullerman and staff  for your compassionate service.

The Two Buck Meal at the senior center was provided by Eileen Hokeness and 24 folks enjoyed the meal.  Don’t forget to call the meal center at 483-2580 if you would like a meal.

Remember to go to church often during this season of Lent and make Easter a joyful event.
