Santa will be in town on Saturday, December 8th at the Adrian High School Library from 9 – 11:00 a.m..  Be sure to have your list ready!

From the looks of all the cars on Maine Street on Friday, the Christmas Open Houses were a success!  Not so sure about Saturday.  Mother Nature likes to put a wrench into things!

On Saturday, the Sanford Health Adrian clinic held their open house.  Despite the weather, a good crowd came out to see the new building.  Nothing but great things were said by those who attended!  The clinic will now be seeing patients downtown in their new location.

This past week we lost Dale Peters, who was county Sheriff for twenty eight years.  Our condolences to his family.  Blessed be the memory of Dale Peters.

The residents of Adrian Country Cottages would like to thank Kim Kunkel for braving the weather and dodging snow drifts to bring communions to them this past Sunday.  Kim attributed her trusty pick-up for her ability to get there!  Thank you Kim!

Our deepest condolences to the family of Raymond Veldhuisen.  May he rest in peace.

Our depeest condolence to the family of Keith Wayne Schroeder.  God Bless his memory.

The pancake feed hosted by the Knights of Columbus that was scheduled for last Sunday will be held this Sunday, Dec. 9th at 11:30 in St. Adrian’s basement.

The annual tree lighting ceremony sponsored by Sanford Hospice will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 9th at the Adrian EMS building.  Join in for a short program, the tree lighting and refreshments.

There are 22 days until Christmas!  28 days left in 2018! Where did the year go?

Thank goodness that all of the weather predictions for this past weekend were wrong.  Except for the wind, we really lucked out!  I guess it’s better to over prepare and be safe than to get caught out in the storm.

On the schedule for Dragon happenings this week:  Thurs., Dec.6 : MS GBB is at home against Fulda at 4:30 p.m.;  Wrestling is at Tri-Valley in Hartford, SD; and GBB is at home against Ellsworth starting at 6:00 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 8 is the Adrian Town & Country MS basketball tournament, wrestling is at JCC @ 9:20 a.m.  On Monday, Dec. 10 is the MS/HS Winter Band/Choir concert; and on Tuesday, Dec. 11 in GBB (B/A) is away at WWG, the MS GBB is at home against Mt. Lake at 4:00 p.m.; Wrestling is away against Pipestone & TMB; and BBB (C/B/A) is at home against HBC starting at 4:45 p.m.

The Senior dining Center has cards and their monthly meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 11th.  Call ahead for reservations.

We aren’t going to talk about the Vikings.  Let’s hope Monday night against Seattle will be better!
