Former Adrian resident Elaine Klein has been in the area visiting relatives and friends for the last few weeks.  She is returning to her home in Delaware, but says she will be back when the weather gets nicer once again.

Adrian Country Cottage resident Matilda Lange has been making quilts for over ten years for her church, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Pipestone.  The quilts are sent by the church to where they are needed in this area, or around the world.

Kay Cox accompanied Mike and Cheryl Cox to the Twin Cities this past weekend to attend a bridal shower for Jacqui Taylor, daughter of Mary (Cox) and Mark Taylor.  The colors near Mankato were breathtaking on the trip!  The travelers stayed in Andover with Ann (Cox) Hoemberg.  Jacqui was thrilled to receive the quilt that Kay had won from the Lismore fall dinner.  Jacqui and her fiance Peter Hunner will be married in December.   Kay also received a great surprise when she was able to visit with Delores (Lefty) Vanderah, who lives near her daughter in the area.

The Vikings pulled off a big win!  It was a fun game to watch, especially since Kay was in the middle of Viking’s country.  Watching with her family makes it so much more exciting.  Everyone was decked out in full Viking apparel. SKOL!

During Mass this past Sunday, Father Colletti welcomed the people attending church from St. Mary’s in Ellsworth.  They were invited downstairs to join in at the K.C.’s burger feed after the service.  It was a real warm welcome for our friends from Ellsworth.

Thought for the week:  How often do you encourage others?  If you’re not sure, then make an extra effort right away.  What we make happen for someone else, God will make happen for us!
