Oh my heavens what a strange week! At least weather-wise. I really did not like the fall weather so fast. At least it didn’t freeze. Not quite ready to lose all my flowers, but I guess with how dry it is, that’s happening anyway.
Nineteen years ago 9/11 happened. It doesn’t seem possible that it was that long ago. Please keep the families that lost so much on that one day in your prayers.
Prayers are also needed for all of the people and firefighters in the line of the fires in almost all of the western states. Some have lost everything, towns completely gone. We need God’s help!
Our thoughts and prayers to the Roger Lupkes and Patricia Curtis families. Blessed be their memories.
Our thoughts and prayers also go out to the family of Darwin Veld. He passed away on September 10th. Darwin was such a big part of the Lismore community, with lots of ties, both business and friends, to our whole community. Blessed be the memory of Darwin Veld.
Tony and Darla Parsley are again collecting coats, boots, mittens and hats from now through October. If you have gently used coats of any size or winter clothing, please drop them off at 517 Maine Ave. Someone in need will appreciate a warm coat for the upcoming winter.
Thought for the week: Jesus longs for His goodness to flow from our lives. This include words that flow from our mouths. We can honor Him with the way we live our lives and the way we interact with others. When our words are uplifting and encouraging, we sound like Him. It doesn’t get much better than that!
