Adrian news 06-19-19

There was an inch of rain in the gauge on Sunday.  The garden really popped.  It’s amazing after our wet spring that we needed a shot of rain.  It looks like it’s a possibility all week!  I guess we need to enjoy the sunshine when we see it. Also Jupiter is bright in the night sky sliding along with the full moon.  Check it out if we get a clear evening.

Our deepest heartfelt sympathy to the family of Tucker Marten.  Tucker fought for his life for 78 days, but God decided to take him home this past Saturday.  Blessed be the memory of Tucker and prayers for his family.

Please continue to keep Molly Einck, Sandy Suedkamp, Bill Carlberg, Irene Reinke, Sharon Boltjes and others you know of in your prayers.

On Saturday, the Buffalo Ridge Leathernecks Detachment #1463, held a Pork Loin Feed Fundraiser at the Adrian American Legion. The proceeds were going to stay local to assist Marines, Sailors, Veterans and community!  From the looks of the cars on Maine Street, the event was well attended.

This past weekend the Adrian Country Club held the annual Men’s Member Guest tournament.  Even though there was a rain delay on Saturday, a great time was had by all the golfers.

The golf team did well at the State Golf Meet, especially for being such a young team.  See the paper for more details and photos.

Thought for the week:  We must each discover our God-given gifts and talents, what we are truly capable of, then put ourselves to the task of developing these gifts talents and capabilities to their fullest extents.

Have a great week!
