Congratulations to the Trojans Gymnastics team. They place 7th at State this past weekend, one position better than last year. What another great year!
AHS has two wrestlers going on to State Wrestling this coming Thursday through Saturday. Jesus Anaya and Scot Edwards both qualified to compete at State. Anaya took second in the 106 pound class and Edwards took first as heavyweight. Congratulations and good luck!
Does the snow never end? Twenty-three days until spring. Someone made the comment that March is supposed to be our snowiest month. Hope they are wrong! The piled up snow around the driveways is way too tall!
Our deepest condolence to the family of Joe Henning. Joe passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 19th. His funeral was Saturday morning at St. Adrian. He will be missed! Blessed be the memory of Joe Henning.
The AHS BBB team won two of three games this past week. Subsection play begins this coming weekend. Good Luck!
The AHS GBB team took on MCC in Subsection play on Saturday, Feb. 23. Unfortunately, the Lady Dragons were unable to pull off a victory and ended their season with a 49-69 loss to MCC. Congratulations on a good year!
Our deepest sympathies to the family of Lorrell Hanson, who passed away on Sunday, Feb. 17th at his home. It will be different not to see him walking with his dog. Blessed be the memory of Lorrell Hanson.
Our sympathies also go out to the families of Tanya N. Stroh. Blessed be her memory.
Saw a really nice thing this past week- a UPS driver had taken time from his busy route to help Adrian resident Nona Bents dig out her driveway on Thursday afternoon. The plow had come by and left about three feet of snow all across the end of the driveway. Without his help, she would probably be still stuck at home. It is so great to see neighbor (or UPS driver) helping neighbor!
The benefit for the Marten Twins was postponed because of the weather. No date has been set yet.
Thought for the week: Like the sun, the moon and the stars, God has created us to be different from one another and He has done it on purpose. Each of us meet a need and we are all part of God’s overall plan. It is all right to be different!
