Adrian girls fall to MLA

The Adrian Girls Basketball team opened up their 2017-2018 season by hosting the Mountain Lake Area Wolverines. In a neck and neck battle with the score just 23-21 at the half, the Dragons came up short in the end and fell to the Wolverines in their home opener with a score of 48-38.

Senior center Paige Bullerman was key for the Dragons, putting in 36 minutes while dropping in 18 points, and grabbing 8 rebounds for her team. Senior Hannah Bullerman dished out 5 assists along with 10 points.

Margo Stoesz shined for the Wolverines putting up 20 points on the scoreboard, ripping down 8 rebounds, went 9-10 at the free throw line and came away with a steal.

In the end the Wolverines defence was too much for the Dragons to handle. The Dragons then soon became victims of foul trouble and as a team only had two attempts at the free throw line.  The Wolverines on the other hand had 27 attempts at the free throw line of which they sank 16.
