Dragons Fall 5 to 4 in Close One!
The Adrian Dragons took on the Springfield Tigers on Friday, June 17 in Chaska, Minnesota at 2:30 p.m. Springfield started their ace Sam Baier while Adrian made the decision to start Logan Rogers on no rest with 7 innings remaining of pitching eligibility.
With a packed stadium, Adrian started things out in the top of the 1st with Jacob Stamer reaching base, as he was hit by the pitch with one out. Logan Rogers then ripped a single to left putting runners on 1st and 2nd with one out. Sam Baier then delivered a wild pitch and the runners from Adrian moved to 2nd and 3rd.
Zach Loosbrock, who delivered the game winning RBI vs. Ely, stepped to the plate and ripped a double to right center, scoring Stamer and Rogers, giving Adrian a quick 2 to 0 lead.
