Last Saturday the Adrian baseball field received a new mound and home-plate area. The city hired A-Town Mounds out of Avon, Minnesota to and do the work. Hill-Topper clay and conditioner was purchased to construct both areas. Troy Loosbrock was able to use Lance Roger’s truck and trailer to drive to St. Cloud to pick up the material.
Pete Schleper (owner of A-Town Mounds), with a crew of two more worked tirelessly Saturday to install the new clay. They started at 8:00 am and finished around 2:30 in the afternoon. The Adrian Varsity Baseball teamed returned from their game in Ruthton just in time to see the finished product and thank the men for their work.
