Adrian Area 8-Red Rock Central 9
On Tuesday, April 18 Adrian Area Softball Team traveled to Sanborn to take on RRC/WWG. In the top of the first inning Devin Dreesen hit a double down the 3rd base line. Paige Bullerman hit an RBI single. The defense held until the bottom of the 3rd inning. Red Rock scored two runs on two errors and a single. In the bottom of top of the 4th inning Devin D. led off with a single followed by a double by Paige Bullerman and singles by Autumn Grussing and Kristina Cauwels. An error on a hit by Halle Heitkamp made the score 5-2.
Red Rock scored one run in the 4th, 5th, and 6th inning. Adrian Area scored 3 runs in the top of the 6th on a single by Kristina Cauwels. Morgan Dreesen was hit by a pitch, Hailee Nolte walked, Maddy Neuenberg reached base on an error, and Avery Balster hit a single. Going in to the bottom of the 7th inning the girls were leading 8-5 but RRC/WWG scored 3 runs on a hit batter and 4 singles to tie the game. In the 8th inning Adrian Area did not score, but RRC/WWG managed to score 1 run on a single with two errors to win the game.

Windom 11 – Adrian Area 1
On Thursday, April 20 the girls traveled to Windom. It was a cold, windy day for softball. Maddy Neuenberg led off the game with a walk and a stolen base. Devin Dreesen hit an RBI double followed by a single from Paige Bullerman. Timely hits weren’t available so that was all the scoring that was done.
Windom scored 4 runs in the 2nd inning, 2 in the 3rd, and 5 in the 5th to end the game. Avery Balster pitched the game walking only one batter, allowing 11 hits and striking out 1 batter. Devin Dreesen went 1-2, 1 RBI, 1-2B; Paige Bullerman 1-2, and Kristina Cowell 1-2, 1-2B.
