In the 3A Subsection Semi Finals on Thursday, March 5th.
The Dragon Boys’ Basketball team played the Westbrook-Walnut Grove Chargers at Worthington High School. The first half went back and forth and the Chargers led 28-25 at halftime. The Dragons raced out to a 31-29 lead to begin the second half, but the Chargers went on an 8-0 run to take a 37-31 lead with 14 minutes to play and never looked back. The Chargers prevailed 73 to 54.
The Dragons were led by Ian Stamer’s 21 points and Noah Reyne’s 16 points. They were 21 of 42 from the field for 50%. The Dragons converted on 8 of 13 free throws attempted.
The Adrian-Ellsworth Dragons finished the season with an overall record of 13 wins and 14 losses.
