Boys win two, lose one

Adrian-Ellsworth BBB hosts Sibley-Ocheydan 

The Sibley-Ocheydan Generals visited the Adrian-Ellsworth Boys’ Basketball team in a non-conference match-up Monday, January 20th.  The Dragons had the lead heading into the locker room at halftime 38 to 27 and held on to defeat the Generals, 71 to 60.  Noah Reyne led the Dragons with 21 points and 7 rebounds. Peyton Lewis added 19 points and 8 rebounds, while Grant Jansma and Lance Luettel each added 11 points and Ian Stamer had 9 points in the Dragon win!  Adrian-Ellsworth made 17 of 30 for 57% from shots taken inside the three point line and connected on 8 of 21 attempts for 38% from behind the three-point arc. The Dragons also won the rebounding battle 34 to 31.  The Dragons improved to 8-6 overall on the 2019-2020 season.

A-E Dragons take on RRC Falcons in home match-up

The Red Rock Central Falcons visited the Adrian-Ellsworth Dragons on Thursday, January 23rd.  The Red Rock Conference game was played in Ellsworth.  The game was tied at 20 after the first 18 minutes of play, but the Dragons were unable to contain the Falcons and lost the game 57 to 44.  Noah Reyne led the Dragons with 20 points and 8 rebounds.  Ian Stamer added 9 points.  Grant Jansma chipped in with 6 points, and Lance Luettel added 5 points and 5 rebounds  The Dragons were 12 of 33 for 41% from shots taken inside the three-point arc and converted on 4 of 14 shot attempts taken from behind the arc. The Dragons fall to 3-5 in Red Rock Conference play and 8-7 overall.

Edgerton falls to the A-E Dragons

The A-E Boys’ Basketball team hosted the Edgerton Flying Dutchmen in a Red Rock Conference match-up on Saturday, January 25th.      The Dragons were up 48 to 14 at halftime and went on to win 77 to 34.  A-E was 23 of 42 (55%) for shots taken inside the three-point line and made 8 of 19 shots from outside of the arc.  The Dragons were led by Ian Stamer’s 27 points. Peyton Lewis had 13 points and 6 rebounds.  Noah Reyne added 10 points, 7 assists and 5 rebounds, while Anthony Lenz had 6 points off the Dragon bench.  Adrian-Ellsworth improved to 4-5 in Red Rock Conference play and 9-7 overall.
