In a double header match up with the boys on the Adrian court the A/E girls team picked up their 3rd straight win over the Trinity Christain girls team from Hull, IA on January 6th, with a final score of 56-39.
It was a slow paced game for the girls. compared to how they have been playing. They didn’t give up and continued to hustle despite being off with their shots and being beat out under the basket. The A/E girls put on decent full court pressure and worked towards getting better at it throughout the night. By the final buzzer the Dragons out rebounded the Tigers 38 to 21. They also dished out 13 assists and captured 8 steals.
Jayden Zebe, was the top scorer for the night with ten points, and ten rebounds. Kallie Chapa, tallied nine points for the Dragons shooting 60% from the field. Shawna Rogers had one of her best varsity games yet. She helped the team with her feisty defense which helped her capture three steals from TC. Rogers also went 100% from the field scoring 6 points. Moriah Bullerman, was a true teammate, finding the open girl. Bullerman ended with a team high six assists.
