A Mass of Christian Burial for Francis “Franny” Albert Lonneman, age 83, of Adrian, MN will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 27, 2019, at St. Adrian Catholic Church, in Adrian, officiated by Monsignor Richard Colletti. Visitation will be at the Dingmann Funeral Home from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 26, with Parish Prayers at 4:15 p.m. Visitation also from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m at St. Adrian Church. Burial with full military honors provided by the Adrian American Legion, will be in the St. Adrian Cemetery. Franny died Saturday, November 23, 2019, at the Sanford Luverne Medical Center. He was born June 4, 1936, on the family farm southwest of Adrian, to Antone and Elizabeth (Weidert) Lonneman. He graduated from St. Adrian High School in 1954. Franny then attended a trade school in Minneapolis. He served in the Air National Guard from 1958 to 1964.
Franny married Suzanne Heinrichs on September 2, 1959, at St. Adrian Catholic Church. The couple farmed on the family farm southwest of Adrian. While farming, Franny served as a substitute Rural Mail Carrier for over sixteen years. He also mowed at the Adrian Country Club.
He was a member of the St. Adrian Catholic Church; the Knights of Columbus; and the Adrian American Legion. He enjoyed playing cards, playing softball, golfing, ping pong and wintering in Mesa, AZ with Suzi, where he won the ping pong events at the Senior Olympics.
Franny is survived by his wife, Suzi Lonneman, Adrian; MN; five children, Kenny Lonneman, Mankato, MN; Kathy (Brian) Chapa, Ellsworth, MN; Mary (Mike Kluge) Lonneman, Chanhassen, MN; Duane Lonneman, Pemberton, MN; and Jon (Debi) Lonneman, Santa Fe, TN; twelve grandchildren, Travis (Amy) Chapa, Tyler (Darian) Chapa, Emily (Derek) Vanden Hoek, Philip Lonneman, Nathan Lonneman, Marie Lonneman, Grace Lonneman, Gianna Lonneman, Amelia Lonneman, Theodore Lonneman, Abraham Lonneman and Leland Lonneman; four great-grandchildren, Jaycee, Addy, Kamdyn & Lennon; two brothers, Anthony Lonneman, Adrian, MN; and Orville (Elaine) Lonneman, Sioux falls, SD; and a sister-in-law, Helen Lonneman, Adrian, MN.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Leona Lonneman, Rita Cook and Lorraine Marnach; and three brothers, Vincent, Sylvester and Joseph Lonneman.
