What Once was Lost, Now is Found… 48 Years Later!

Back in the late 60’s William (Bill) Fritz took the day off from bailing hay to spend time with his high school friends. They traveled all over the area to local swimming holes and parks.  Split Rock park in Garretson, South Dakota would be a memorable place he visited and also for a young teenage girl named Chris.

A day or two after Bill had visited the park he realized his class ring had gone missing.  He had the ring for only about six months and had worn it a few times.  It just so happened a girl from Sioux Falls, South Dakota was at the Split Rock Park and had stumbled upon the ring, possibly the same day or a few days after it was lost.  Chris and her Mom did what they could to return the ring back to it’s rightful owner, looking at area towns that started with the letter “A”.
