Congratulations to Kishan and Alice Singh of Sioux Falls on the birth of their daughter, Jazmine Annette, on July 7th.  Her big sisters, Kali and Lilliona, welcomed her home. Proud grandparents are Gene and Barb Reker of rural Lismore/Adrian.

The next movie night sponsored by the Lismore Booster Club is this Friday, July 26th.  Bring your own snacks, chair and/or blanket to enjoy a family friendly movie under the stars.  Watch the Lismore Booster Club on Facebook the week of the movie to see the name of the movie of the week.  Movies begin at dusk.

Congratulations to Tim and Megan Johnson of Big Rapids, Michigan on the birth of their son, Joseph Walker, on July 18th.  Joseph is welcomed home by his 2-year old brother, Colton.  Bruce and Ruth Lutmer of rural Leota/Brooklyn Park are the proud grandparents.

The Lismore Fire and Rescue will have their annual fundraiser of all-you-can-eat BBQ Pork or Turkey supper beginning at 5:00 on Saturday, August 3rd. Firemen are selling tickets, which also will entitle you for chance to win an assortment of prizes.

It may only be a pint of blood for you, but for a patient in need it can mean the difference between life and death.” Mark your calendar for the American Red Cross Bloodmobile, which will be in Wilmont on Tuesday, July 30th collecting from 2:00-7:00 p.m. and in Adrian on Wednesday, July 31st.

It was a week to remember for McKenna Leinen, formerly of Lismore, when she  recently became engaged to Blake Brockey.  Blake returned from deployment especially to witness the birth of their baby girl, Harlow Elizabeth, who was born on July 16th.  Blake was fortunate to be present for his daughter’s birth and will return to Poland soon.  Harlow’s proud grandparents are Ken and Vickie Leinen.  Congratulations to all!

Rick Lutmer of Omaha, NE and Linda (Lutmer) Bartl of Aberdeen, SD were Friday overnight guests in the home of their sister, Debby and Frank Wieneke.  Rick came especially to help with family construction projects and Linda was scheduled to dis

play her handmade mittens at the Adrian Vendor Fair.  They both returned to their homes on Saturday.

Parishioners from the Adrian Catholic Church Cluster will say goodbye to their seminarian, David Kruse, on Sunday, July 28th with a farewell reception.  Burgers, hot dogs, salads, and desserts will be served in St. Adrian’s lower hall following Mass.  David has been here for about a  year and became an important part of our parish life.  Come and wish him well!

Stephen Loosbrock of Lenexa, KS was a weekend guest in the home of his parents, Bruce and Brenda Loosbrock.

When you attend the Rock County Fair in Luverne this weekend, you will hear Gloria (Wieneke) Carlberg performing on the patio by the 4-H building. Everyone enjoyed Gloria’s renditions of Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn tunes and her interactions with the audience last year, so she was invited back again! She will perform from 6:30-8:30 pm on Friday and Saturday.
