Trevor and Stephanie Holzmer were married at the Clos LaChance Winery in San Martin, CA on Friday, June 10th. Trevor is the son of Rocky & Alvena Holzmer of Colorado Springs, CO. Attending the wedding and enjoying California sights were James & Jean (Holzmer) Freeman of Aurora, CO and Lori Holzmer and Bob Holzmer, both of Lismore.
Alexia Kemper (daughter of Chris & Mindy of Lismore), Ryan Elias (son of Steve & Terri of Adrian) and Jada Elias (daughter of Dean & Staci of Adrian) represented Adrian High School at the state golf tournament. As in the past, Gary Obele, a 1958 graduate of Adrian High School, was doing the announcing. Gary just can’t hide the Dragon Pride by always complimenting Adrian!!
Mike & Patty Buysse held their wedding reception on Saturday, June 18th with friends and family in the back yard of the former “family home”. Special guests included Patty’s children, Dylan Johnson (soon to be from Vancouver, WA) and Casey Johnson and Kyle Dahmen and little Alyx of Sugar City, CO. Mike & Patty were married in Hawaii last November. Congratulations!
St. Kilian will host a “Gather 4 Faith Celebration” on Sunday, June 26. Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 PM with Bishop Quinn and Father Beerman. There will be live entertainment by Dan Mahar & Audrey Brake and a rib-eye steak sandwich dinner. Free will offerings will be accepted. Special items available for sale will be: St. Kilian history booklets, greeting cards and laser cut ornaments, chances will be sold on a St. Kilian quilt and a “St. Kilian” bench. Proceeds will go to support the continued care of the historic St. Kilian Church, the building grounds and cemetery.
Dave & Deb Lutmer attended the baby dedication for their grandson, Sutton Will, son of Will & McCall at the Ransom Church in Sioux Falls on Saturday afternoon. A small family reception was held at the home of his other grandparents Doug & Terri Petersen.
Harry & Sandy Spidel of Mission, TX returned to their home on Wednesday after spending a few days with their daughter, Gloria Wieneke.
Congratulations to Cel and Amber Ezeani of Boston, MA on the birth of their daughter, Amara Lucy-Marie. Little Amara was born on June 9th and joins older brother, Dubai age 2. Proud local grandparents are Bruce & Brenda Loosbrock and great-grandparents, Florian and Mary Ann Loosbrock. Other great-grandparents include Lucy & John Woodruff of Surprise, AZ and great-great-grandfather Alvin Schettler of Larchwood, IA.
