Congratulations to the King Tucker Wieneke and Queen Sabdi Bravo.  They were chosen by the Staff of Adrian High School to represent the students during Snow Week.  Tucker is the son of Matt and Kathy of rural Rushmore and Sabdi is the daughter of Alejandro and Mayra of Lismore.

The community extends sympathy to the family of Rita (Lutmer) Lonneman who passed way on January 31st at the age of 85.  Rita grew up in Lismore and graduated from the Catholic High School. After her marriage to Tony Lonneman, they farmed near Adrian.  She is survived by her husband, four children, many grand and great-grandchildren and two sisters.  Blessed be her memory.

Bette LeBrun will celebrate her 85th birthday on February 17th.  Greetings may be sent to her at 201 Oak Drive, Apt. 403, Luverne, MN 56156.  Happy Birthday, Bette!

Due to the winter weather, the Lismore Bloodmobile has been rescheduled for Monday, February 25th from 1:00-6:00.  Make plans to donate.

Doug and Laura Loosbrock celebrated the birthdays of Cambree Cook (8) and Corbin Cook (2) at the Brandon Pizza Ranch last Saturday along with their parents, Brad and Carmel and brother Connor.

The Lismore Bar is taking applications for cooks and wait staff. Stop in and see Jonelle.

The community was saddened to hear of the death of Sandy (Jarchow) Loosbrock on January 19th at the age 65.  Sandy and her husband Steve divided their time between Eagan, MN and Naples, FL. She is survived by her husband of 39 years and children, Pete and Jill, and their families.  Sandy was the sister-in-law to Mark and Jeanne Loosbrock and Gary and Vickie Loosbrock all of Lismore.

Ct. St. Bernard #886, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, is throwing a baby shower! They have set up a display in the back of St. Anthony’s church for your donations.   The gifts will be given to the Helping Hands Pregnancy Center in Worthington. When shopping for your own children or grandchildren, purchase a little something extra for this worthwhile cause!  Donations will be collected until February 8th.  Everyone is invited to participate with unwrapped gifts (clothes, diapers, baby items) or a cash donation.  Thank you and may God bless you for your generosity!

Deb Lutmer and Cindy Bullerman of Adrian spent a long weekend in the home of Sophie Zvonar in Tucson, AZ.  Sophie and Deb served as Minnesota State Officers of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas from 2009-2013.  The gals enjoyed sightseeing, great food, lots of laughs and visiting.

The American Legion Auxiliary will meet on Wednesday, February 13th at 7:00 p.m.  Mary Metz will provide lunch and Jessica Fedt will provide the Bingo Prizes.

Anthony and Mary Jean DiGiovanni and their daughters, Sophia and Gianna spent the weekend at Great Wolf Lodge near Kansas City with the DiGiovanni cousins and to celebrate Sophia’s first birthday.
