A Mass of Christian Burial for Mary Kathleen Voss, age 72, of Macomb, IL was held Wednesday Dec. 26, 2018 at St. Paul’s Church, in Macomb, officiated by Father Matthew Deptula. Mary Kathleen passed away Monday, November 26, 2018 at home after a two-year battle with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. She was born September 5, 1946 in Windom, MN to Doyle and Kathleen Walker.
Mary was a vibrant, generous, and loving woman. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She loved traveling and did so often throughout her life. Mary enjoyed life to the fullest and shared her love of life and laughter with everyone around her.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Dr. David A. Voss; daughters Melissa (Ed) Lapsa of Knoxville, TN and Suzanne M. Voss of Macomb, IL; 1 grandson, Johnathan Lapsa, of Knoxville, TN; and 3 granddaughters, Skylar and Sierra U’Ren, of Seattle, WA, and Arial Lapsa of Knoxville, TN; 1 sister, Theresa Funk (Rochester, MN), 1 brother, John (Diane) Walker (Rochester, MN) and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, David E. Voss, her parents and four brothers.
Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
