Last second shot puts Dragons over Rebels

The Adrian Dragons Boys Basketball team traveled to Fulda to take on the Raiders in a Red Rock Conference game.

The Dragons struggled in the first half and were trailing 49 to 29 at halftime.  The Dragons used a strong defensive effort in the second half to come back and win 74 to 73.  Christian Weidert hit the game winning three from the far wing as time expired to secure the victory! The Dragons were 23 of 45 for 51% from two-point range and 6 of 27 for 22% from behind the three-point line.  The Dragons won the rebounding battle 26 to 19.  The Dragons forced 21 turnovers and only committed 10 of their own.  Adrian was led by Christian Weidert with 27 points, while going 4 of 9 from behind the three-point line.  Lance Luettel had 18 points and was 9 of 9 from the field!  Noah Reyne had 14 points and 4 assists and Brady Vortherms chipped in with 5 points.  The Dragons improved to 4-5 overall and 2-2 in Red Rock Conference play.

The Dragons will travel to Okabena to take on HLO on Thursday then will be home against Murray County Central on Saturday.
