Happy New Year! It’s hard to believe the holidays are over and a new year has begun!
The Christmas Eve service at St. Adrian was as full as could possibly be. Along with all the beautiful carols and the children’s time at the Nativity Scene with Father Colletti, Santa and Mrs. Claus made an appearance to celebrate the birth of Our Lord. It was heartwarming and the children present were awed to see Santa at the manger. It was reported that on the way out, Santa’s elf who waited in the back of the church, was asked by several children if she knew their elf on a shelf!

Deepest condolences to the family of Alma Wiertzema, who passed away at the end of last week. Alma was a lifelong resident in the area and recently lived in the Adrian Country Cottages. Blessed be the memory of Alma Wiertzema.
On December 20th, the Adrian HS Choir came to the Adrian Country Cottages and sang Christmas Carols to the residents and staff. What a great group of singers! Director Karen Rye invited the carolers to stay for Christmas cookies after they were done singing. What a treat for the residents!
Adrian State Bank held it’s Christmas Open House last week. Entertainment was provided at different times throughout the day by different classes of Adrian Elementary School. The kids did so well. We are so fortunate they are willing to share their talents with the whole town.
Thought for the Week: There is much to fret about…there always will be. But there is much, much more to not fret about. I choose door number two.
