Ecumenical Thanksgiving services will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church on Wednesday, November 21st beginning at 7:30 p.m.  Everyone is welcome to join family, friends, and neighbors for an evening of prayer and song.  A collection will be taken for the Manna Food Shelf in Worthington. Refreshments will be served following the service. Please plan to attend.

Ray and Shirley Wieneke embarked on a road trip to attend the wedding of her great-nephew Jonathan Lunford in Gilford, IN on October 27th. They also spent time with Shirley’s brother before traveling on to Hudsonville, MI to visit with a longtime friend from years ago.  They drove many miles, but it was worth it.  It was fun to enjoy time with family and friends.

The community offers congratulations to Mayor Jill Diekmann and City Council members Vickie Leinen and Ryan Schieck after they were elected on November 6th.

Felicia Wolf of St. Paul was a weekend guest in the home of her grandmother, Mary Ann Loosbrock.  Felicia has joined the Peace Corps and will be leaving in January for Thailand. Best wishes on your new adventure, Felicia!

The Lismore American Legion members are offering raffle tickets on an American Flag themed quilt donated by Pam Kramer. An avid quilter, this quilt is number 35 of the 37 that Pam has made and donated—all done in the same flag pattern. Simply beautiful! A lucky winner will be drawn this Sunday, November 18th at the Feather Party. Thank you, Pam, for sharing your talents and donating to such a worthy cause.

Celebrating an early Thanksgiving in the home of Ruth Lorang were four of her five children and their families: Tom, Molly, Kate and Keegan Lorang of Morton; Kevin, Yig and J.P. Lorang of Minneapolis; Susan, Todd, Isaac, Noah, and Grace Roerig of Sioux City, IA; and Jean, Ivan, Owen, Lucy, Phoebe, Hazel, and Milo Vargas of Dell Rapids, SD.  They all attended Saturday evening Mass at St. Anthony’s, which was in memory of their dad, Marvin Lorang, who passed away two years ago.

Austin and Nichole Quebedeux of Des Moines, IA were weekend guests in the home of her parents, Bruce and Brenda Loosbrock.
