School Board Position

The Adrian School Board seeks to appoint an individual to fill a vacated school board position.  According to State Statute, the appointment will run through November 2019, at which time a special election will be held to fill the vacated position for the remaining the term of one (1) year.

The Adrian School Board is accepting letters from interested persons who are willing to accept an appointment to the Board. The letter should include basic qualifications the candidate feels they have and the reasons why they want to serve on the Board.

Letters of interest should be addressed to Ed Lenz, Board Chair, Adrian Public School PO Box 40, Adrian MN, 56110 and are due in the District office by November 9, 2018.

Letters will be reviewed by the Adrian School Board and an appointment will be confirmed at the November 19, 2018 school board meeting.  The appointee will assume board duties 30 days later.

According to State Statue, persons interested in serving on a school board must be an eligible voter, a district resident for at least 30 days, age 21 or older and not a convicted sex offender.  A prospective board member cannot hold another elected position except that of a township board.
