EHS Volleyball wrapping up regular season play with two wins

Ellsworth 3, CCE 2

Ellsworth defeated  Clay Central-Everly in five games.  Scores were 25-18, 23-25, 25-20, 17-25, 15-10.

Leading the Panthers was Ashlyn Meester with 11 kills, four service aces, seven digs and a block and Kallie Chapa got seven kills. Morgan Dreesen had 19 set assists and Lizzie Chapa with seven digs.

RRC 3, Ellsworth 0

The  Red Rock Central Falcons took care of the Panthers in Ellsworth in three sets, 25-11, 25-13, 25-20.

Leading the Falcoms, Haley Simonson was 17-for-18 serving with two aces, 16 set assists, eight digs and five kills.

Ellsworth was led by Ashlyn Meester’s six kills, six digs and one ace serve. Kendra DeBeer had four kills and two aces, Sierra Smith had two aces and five kills, Morgan Dreesen finished with nine set assists.  Lizzie Chapa and Kallie Chapa had nine and eight digs, respectively.

H-BC 3, Ellsworth 0

The Panther ladies traveled to Hills to face the Patriots on their home court. They fell in three by scores of  25-14, 25-15, 25-12.

Leading H-BC was Sadie Fuerstenberg 16-for-17 at the service line (two aces) and Kailey Rozeboom was 15-for-16 (one ace) and also had 28 set assists for the Patriots.

Leaders for  Ellsworth were Ashlyn Meester and Kendra DeBeer with both getting four kills. Morgan Dreesen had 11 set assists. Lizzie Chapa had 10 digs.

Ellsworth 3, St. Mary’s Dell Rapids, S.D. 0

Ashley Meester had nine kills and four service aces as Ellsworth downed  St. Mary’s of Dell Rapids 25-23, 26-24, 25-23.

Kallie Chapa had 21 digs, Morgan Dreesen 20 set assists and four blocks and Lizzie Chapa had four service aces.

H-LP Tournament

On October 6th the girls traveled to the Harris-Lake Park Tournament.  The girls did not get a win but went to three sets in two of the matches.   Scores for the day were EHS-Central Lyon  21-6, 21-11;  EHS – South O’Brien12-21; 21-18, 8-15;  EHS-Trinity Christian 21-17, 21-7 and EHS – Rock Valley  12-21, 22-20, 7-21.
