A Mass of Christian Burial for Kristy Marie Aldrich, age 63, of rural Madison, SD Wednesday, will be held on September 26, 2018, at St. Joseph the Workman Catholic Church at Huntimer, SD with interment in the Franklin Cemetery. Kristy passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2018, at Sanford Foundation Hospice Cottage in Sioux Falls, SD. She was born on December 29, 1954 in Adrian, MN to Duane and Dolores (Schutz) Bullerman. She attended Catholic grade school and graduated from Adrian Public High School in 1972. She then attended Worthington Community College and later received her bachelor’s degree from Mankato State University. She then began her career in computer programming. She worked for Raven Industries, John Morrell & Co., and finally for East River Electric where she stayed for 25+ years until her retirement in 2016.
On July 19, 1980 Kristy married Rick Aldrich at St. Adrian’s Catholic Church in Adrian. They settled on a farm north of Buffalo Trading Post. Kristy was an excellent farm wife and would help Rick on the farm after she got home from work. She loved gardening and tending to her flowers. She enjoyed baking goodies for her grandchildren and sewing countless blankets for her nieces and nephews. She was a member of St. Joseph the Workman Catholic Church at Huntimer and would volunteer her time for East River Electric charity events as well as for Relay for Life.
Survivors include her husband, Rick, of rural Madison, SD; daughters, Alysia (Mitch) Boysen, Colton, SD and Denise Aldrich and her significant other, Bryan Jaycox, Flandreau, SD; grandchildren: Tate, Cora, Lila, and Raya Boysen, Dominic Anderson, and Lincoln Jaycox; sister, Sharon Gonnerman, Sioux Falls, SD; brothers: Steve (Susie) Bullerman, Adrian, MN, and Lane (Kim) Bullerman, Adrian, MN; uncle, Florian ”Lorry” (Barb) Bullerman, Adrian, MN; aunt, Terese Marie (Loren) Peterburs, Mesa, AZ; father-in-law, Marv Aldrich, Madison, SD; and numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Duane and Dolores (Schutz) Bullerman; brother-in-law, Keith Gonnerman; sister-in-law, JoAnn VanDam; mother-in-law, Esther Aldrich; and uncle, Leon Bullerman.
Minnehaha Funeral Home is in charge of the services.
