A couples bridal shower for Jory Haken and fiance Vanessa was held last Saturday night at the Haken farm. There were approximately thirty people in attendance. The party was put on by Tim and Sherrie (Prokes} Haken and Dave and Kelly (Haken).

Seven residents from Parkview Manor Nursing Home attended the Threshing Bee at the LeRoy Mulder farm on Saturday afternoon. They all enjoyed watching the old fashion way of harvesting oats.
Pat Birkett from Richmond, VA and her mother Ruth Birkett were Sunday afternoon visitors with George and Marg Shurr.
