June Nath ~  Luverne, MN

 

Funeral Services for June Nath, age 97, of Luverne, were held Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Luverne, MN, officiated by Pastor Nancy Manning. Burial was in the Maplewood Cemetery in Luverne.  June died Saturday, August 11, 2018, at the Mary Jane Brown Good Samaritan Home in Luverne. She was born June 4, 1921, in Rock County, MN to Henry and Mary Ellen (Campbell) Vogt. She graduated from Magnolia High School.

June married William “Bill” Nath on October 27, 1940, in Rock Rapids, IA. After their marriage, the couple lived in Adrian, MN and Luverne, MN later moving near Magnolia, MN where they farmed. They moved back to Luverne in 1961. June did child day care before she worked at George’s Bakery and Ben’s Bakery in Luverne. June also drove the Luverne Senior Citizens Bus for fourteen years before retiring.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Magnolia, MN and the Ladies Aid. She and Bill played in card clubs and enjoyed playing cards and other games with family and friends.

June is survived by her five children, Patsy (Jack) Cragoe, Luverne, MN; Ron (Maureen) Nath, San Juan Capistrano, CA; Larry (Cheryl) Nath, Luverne, MN; David (Cindy) Nath, Colorado Springs, CO; and Terri (Steve) Hoffman, Sioux Falls, SD; thirteen grandchildren, Dawn (Wayne) Mouw; Diane (Steve) Hall; Stacy (Hunter) Riggs; Joshua (Julie-Alice) Nath, Jeremiah Nath, Jennifer Nath, Joseph (Priscilla) Nath, Jonathan Nath, Jacob Nath, Kiara Nath, Allana Nath, Ryan (Celina) Hoffman & Dana Hoffman; twelve great-grandchildren, Daniel & Matthew Mouw; Stephanie Riggs; Adam & Emma Wiering; Marie, Elaine, Aaron, Zachary, Luke, Brittney & Brandi Nath; and Jackson & Korbin Hoffman; and six step great-grandchildren, Christian (Lily), Leah & Maris Hall; and Cyrus, Lincoln & Braxton Kirstein.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill on March 30, 2015; infant son, James Allen; granddaughter, Kaleina Nath; infant granddaughter, Misty June; infant great grandson; brother, Raymond Vogt; and four sisters, Edna Wieck, Dorothy Smeins, Ruth Ashby and Virginia Schei.

Dingmann Funeral Home, Luverne, was in charge of the arrangements.
