Joyce Erdman returned from a ten day, fun filled family trip.  It began on July 4th at Spirit of the North Resort near Walker, MN.  Joyce joined her daughter, Pam and Mark Luettel of Adrian and their son, Keith and Emily Luettel, Blake and Elliet of Minnetonka to celebrate the holiday.  Swimming, pontoon rides, and entertaining the little ones were on the agenda for three days. Joyce, Pam, and Mark met the Luettel’s youngest son, Corey and Tara Luettel, Ainsley, Oliver, and Leo of Faribault at Brindley’s Harbor Resort, which is  also located near Walker.  They enjoyed swimming, fishing, eating, and making more great family memories.  Everyone returned to their homes on July 14th.

Due to the uncertainty of the weather, the July 13th movie night sponsored by the Lismore Booster Club has been postponed to Friday, July 27th.  Bring your own snacks, chair and/or blanket to enjoy a family friendly movie under the stars.  Watch the Lismore Booster Club on Facebook the week of the movie to see the name of the movie of the week.  Movies begin at dusk.

Ruth Lorang was on hand Sunday, July 8th to celebrate an early 1st birthday for her grandson, Milo Vargas, son of Ivan & Jean in Dell Rapids, SD. Others enjoying lunch and birthday cake were Rose Vargas of Dell Rapids and Anthony & Dominic Vargas of Lincoln, NE.

Rick Lutmer of Omaha, NE was a weekend guest in the home of Debby & Frank Wieneke. He also visited with other family in the area.

Congratulations to Joe and Ashley Henning on the birth of their daughter, Alivia Marie, who was born on July 11th.

Happy Grandparents are Alan & Ellen Henning of Lismore and Jon & Jodi Thier of Adrian.  Great-grandparents are Veryl and  Avis Stoffel of Lismore and Virgil and Alice Cook of Adrian.

Connie (Fuerstenberg) Wieneke and her daughter, Tori of Slayton, returned from a two-week trip touring Italy and Greece as part of Tori’s culture class at Murray County Central High School.    Tori is the granddaughter of Jackie Wieneke and a recent graduate of MCC.

Megan Johnson and Colton of Ham Lake, MN were weekend guests in the home of her parents, Bruce and Ruth Lutmer, at their acreage near Leota.

Ruth Lorang and family enjoyed the Hendel family reunion at Lake Shetek Lodge this past weekend.  In attendance from Ruth’s family were: Ruth Lorang of Lismore; Tom and Molly, Kate, and Keegan Lorang of Morton; Kevin and Yig and John Lorang of Minneapolis; Susan and Grace Roerig of Sioux City, IA; Lynn, Caleb, and Asha Dearey of Durango, CO; and Jean and Ivan, Owen, Lucy, Phoebe, Hazel, and Milo Vargas of Dell Rap-

ids, SD. They celebrated three recent “milestone” birthdays in the family: a first birthday for Milo Vargas; a sweet 16 for Kate Lorang; and an “over the hill” 50th for Kevin Lorang. There must have been lots of cake and lots of fun!!

Mike and Rosanne Sloan of Rio Rancho, NM were guests in the home of her mother, Mary Ann Loosbrock.  They also visited in new home of Earl and Nancy Wolf in Eagan.

Mark your calendar for the American Red Cross Bloodmobile, which will be in Lismore on Tuesday, July 31 collecting from 2:00-7:00 p.m.  “When you donate blood, you help save lives. It’s one of the greatest gifts that you can give. It may only be a pint of blood for you, but for a patient in need it can mean the difference between life and death.”

Mallory Brake, daughter of Mike and Tonya and granddaughter of Jack and Nancy just finished a 10 game tournament at Indianapolis and Chicago. Her North Tartan 2020 team, after a season of 25 wins and 2 losses, won the Nike Basketball National Championship. Mallory will be a Junior this fall at Hastings High school.
