“Remember back to the days of…” is a phrase you hear at a reunion. Wilmont, MN is going to have an all area reunion on Saturday, July 28 at the VFW Hall in Wilmont. Beginning with a potluck at 12:00 noon, everyone is invited to come, sit and reminisce with fellow classmates, former neighbors, or would it be possible to talk to someone you don’t know? “Two years ago we held a reunion like this,” explained Audrey Brake. “200 people turned out and we had a great time. We’re hoping for that many and maybe even more.” Nothing is better than spending a day sharing your small town stories and memories. “It’s different now,” Audrey said. “Back when Wilmont had a school and people went uptown on Friday and Saturday nights, we had a bowling alley and a theater. We cherished our hometown. Now it seems the ties are different, not quite as personal.” So mark your calendar for July 28. Come up to Wilmont, bring a dish to pass and get reacquainted with friends, some which are new and some that are old.
